Hello everyone - in the market

Hey guys,
I'm from SA and just joined up. I'm in the market for a 04-08 GT (hopefully premium pack) wagon.
Like any major purchase, I have begun doing my serious research. Any hints/tips/tricks would be greatly appreciated.
I have a relatively decent mechanical knowledge but have most my experience in older cars, with twice the cylinders. haha.
