Introduce yourself

Hey guys! Time to introduce myself..

So, many of you have seen me around. I've been an semi-on/off member of Subyclub, Club.Liberty and OzLiberty for a few years now, but have never really gotten into it. Now since quitting my wonderful *cough, cough* job working for Jaguar and beginning Uni, I now have some time to pay the attention my car deserves and return it to it's original glory, contribute here and eventually attend some meets!

I'm from Sydney :)

My ride is MY99 Gen 3 RX 2.5 Manual, Green Mica colour.

I bought it off a work colleague, with about 170k on the clock, for next to nothing, a few years back and it wasn't in the best shape at all. I believe it was in a big front-ender at some point, as the driver's side front end seems to sit a little lower then the rest of the car.

I cleaned it up the best I could, but it still needs a fair bit of attention ... I think the Green is bad luck :P It attracts idiots hah.
The first week I got it:
- Fixed some wiring
- Removed the spoiler, as it was held on by masking tape
- Replaced the back seats and cleaned up the interior majorly
- Major 200k service done, with belt, pulley's and water pump.

Mods it came with:
- Extractors, hi-flow cat and an X-force cannon
- New KYB shocks and king springs (though I swear they're not the right ones, as it sits higher then stock)
- Crappy aftermarket sound system
- Converted to LPG (I know, I know.. but at $35 for a full tank, I couldn't complain, being an apprentice mechanic and now a broke uni student. It's overall not that bad, only time you really notice it is with aircon on in summer.)
- Python alarm upgrade kit

Mods I've done:
- Protex slotted front discs, Bendix Ultimate pad's all round
- 18" rims
- Replaced the entire sound system with Kenwood Headunit, JL Audio Splits (front and rear), JL Audio 4 Channel Amp, JL Audio 12" Sub, JL Audio Monoblock Amp
- Dynamat boot
- De-spoilered
- K&N Panel Filter
- LED's in dome light, map light and reversing lights
- A few tasteful stickers, courtesy of my friends
- Green on white number plate

Mods to come:
- Optima yellow-top, relocated to the boot.
- Strut brace
- Different grill
- HID kit or JDM Headlights
- Momo steering wheel
- Garnish, tail lights and side indicators tinted
- Leather interior and/or STi buckets
- LPG tune to 108 octane and switched to Liquid injection, from the current Vapour injection
- Nolathane bush kit
- New rear muffler, as I'm not keen on cannon's

Mods I'd like, but will probably end up buying a new car instead:
- Big big brake upgrade
- Supercharger + Tune
- JDM body kit
- Boot/Spoiler fixed
- All dents and scratches fixed and a possible respray

All-in-all, nowhere as immaculate as some of the beasts on here.. but, I'm slowly working my way there! :)

Welcome aboard!

Honestly, it looks like it's in pretty good nick. Get some tyre cleaner/shine done and it will look very presentable!

Can't say I've ever seen an LPG conversion on any Subaru before. Would be keen to see some before and after power figures if you have them.
I was going to procrastinate, but I put it off...

I've had to straight it out a bit. It's about due for a bit of spit and polish, thanks to all the rain and the back and forth through M5 roadworks.

At the moment, it's about stock power. The previous owner used the vapour injection, which isn't all that great. I plan on switching it to Liquid injection and getting an LPG Tune, as LPG has an Octane of 108.

It's been done before. The place I take it for the annual LPG service has a huge variety, so far I've seen a Gen 2 Wagon and there is Mazda 3's, through to F150 pickup's. It's very popular on the XR6T's.

Yeah, previous owner wanted space for a sound system (even though it was a crappy one hah) It's a pretty big tank though, It's like 70L...
