S2000 to 3.0RB

Introduce yourself

S2000 to 3.0RB

Postby Troy » Sun Dec 09, 2012 11:57 am

Hi All,

Well I now own a 2005 3.0RB after having only Honda's all my life the last was an s2000 which I loved!

Only been a month or so now but love the new black beast, overall a better car, especially having back seats and a boot! Lol

I am mid north coast NSW near Port Macquarie.

Looking forward to doing research for maintenance on these things no hard performance mods planned just love to keep them tidy as possible.

Thanks

Troy

Welcome mate, grats on the upgrade.

Maintenance is pretty straightforward, have it serviced regularly and keep an eye on oil because Subies drink a bit. How many km's has it got? Timing belt must be changed every 100,000kms

Luckily for you, the 3.0 has timing chain, not belt, so no replacing ever 100000kms.

And welcome.

And you should bolt on a supercharger :)

Thanks all!

Mine has 121,000km on it, belts look good.

Good to see someone near me mate.

Thanks for the tip, the S2000's use oil too due to the revs, will keep an eye on it. Oil wise I was thinking for still using Castrol Edge 5 30w? thoughts?

S2000 was a little quicker VTEC was like a rocket up your arse haha, S2000 was oversteer, liberty is understeer but much more stalbe and better traction, S2000 was agile and great on switch backs, your going quicker than you think in these cause there smooth, Not done too may twisties in the liberty yet, wanting to do track day again and see if the liberty is quicker around the track or not.
