Sorry Bryce but I disagree with this

Yes there are instances where 250 atw will be possible using a TMIC. However to me it's a no brainer to go fmic for the various reasons

Yes ej20y can handle 22psi unopened

Mine made 255kw atw unopened with a auto

There are others I know of that have made 270 atw unopened with manuals

:D no not with stock turbo (if you see the stock turbo you will know why I laughed :) )

The stock vf38 would be lucky to make you a genuine 170kwatw before crapping out

lol fair enough, well stock turbos should be enough for now. I'll probably just go front mount to future proof it a little if my intentions change.

what turbo were you running to get 255kw atw?
was it small enough to be mounted on the stock exhaust manifold?

Gt4288

Doesn't come on boost until 5000rpm though

But it makes about 30kw atw @ 4500rpm and 255atw at 5500rpm

Also just to point out ej20y is not closed deck

Infact it's not even semi closed (ej255/257 2.5 and ej207 2.0 are semi closed)

They're a complete open block like the ej205

Wow really? Swear I read somewhere that it was... The internals are at least better then the equivalent wrx 2.0L right? How can they have so much more power from stock? 190kw for manual right? Same year wrxs power output is 169kw?
