Introduce yourself

This isn't where I parked my car..

Postby Joe91 » Wed Mar 30, 2011 8:12 pm

Hey all,

Had one or two posts here but haven't introduced myself yet I believe.

I'm 19 and just "upgraded" my vehicle on Saturday. Went from a 1990 Nissan Pintara (amazing car, honestly) and came home from Sydney with a MY04 2.5i Manual in Burgundy. Was worried that I wouldn't like the colour, but fell in love as soon as I saw it - not a lot of them around.

Haven't had a chance to take it for a good drive yet, but so far I'm in love. It puts a big smile on my face when I see it in the morning waiting for me, makes the fact that I have a day at work to look forward to bearable!I always sweat over big purchases and this was in a whole other league - so it is a huge relief that I've found something I'm happy with. I haven't even had a chance to show my mates yet (apart from photos)!

I'm finding myself just reading through all the stuff on here - a lot of knowledgeable folks around! Not sure how into the modding I'll be but good to know that there is help available.

Thanks all :)

Northside :D

Yeah it is probably a bad idea having a look at some of the photos of peoples rides, think my wallet needs a rest! lol

First mods will be getting some good audio. I'm a sucker for loud music with windows down and unfortunately the stock speakers don't quite cut it!

Welcome Joe! It's great to see someone passionate about their car, as this is the perfect place to share it with others who have the same passion. Good luck with it and if you read around you should pick up a lot of information.

At least fuel economy is good whilst driving in Canberra :) combination of no traffic and roundabouts!

This is true. As much as I bash the place, traffic is minimal at the worst of times and it is painless getting anywhere really.

The drivers on the other hand... I'm afraid I don't have any nice things to say about them!

Welcome mate, good to see another Canberra member on here, better to see another red lib too.

Keep your eyes on the ACT section, we get together every now and then to talk BS about cars and usually it involves a feed somewhere too. Pretty sure we could encourage you into some nice modifications. He he he.

I'd stay away from Kev if I were you. He's a bad influence.

Have you driven much in Sydney? I've travelled the world and we're up there with Zimbabwe!

Yeah driven a few times in Sydney. First time was right into George St, spend a long time searching for a park. Not fun. Driving home the new Lib from Sydney on NSW election day not much fun either! :D
