Howdy all

Hi guys,

I'd like to welcome myself to the world of Subies. Recently (Xmas eve - believe it or not 100% sober!!) had a bingle in the Excel I had been driving for 10yrs. Sad to see it go, being my first car and all (fond memories if you get my drift). Even though it was pink (rather faded, I must say), and falling apart, little Red Rocket will always have a place in my heart.

Currently doing a lot of rock climbing at Mt Arapiles and the Grampians, and had a bit of envy for a Forester owner friend of mine. Managed to pick up an Atlantic Blue 3.0R-B (can you fall in love with a car??) and suitably, have now turned the tables on said Forester owner - tee hee. Will shortly be replacing the head unit (Tangcla, I notice you have exactly what I want).

I've been reading up on here for a couple of weeks now, and I think I'm in safe hands. It'll be good to have such a wealth of info at hand.

I'm sure I'll see some of you 'round.

Cam

+1 - Definitely! It's the same as women too... Both break your heart when things go wrong, both dry your wallet faster than you can fill it, but when you drive them there is nothing better!! :D :D :D :D 8)

Welcome Cam!

As others have said, post some pics mate.

Haha, I would post some pics if I had a camera. Went to Jan Juc a few weeks ago in the new Subie (had a suitably impressed lady friend on the passenger side), and one of her friends dropped my camera in the ocean.

No worries right, it's waterproof.

....Except no one could find it.

Sigh.

Mods, I'm looking at the stereo, especially since mine got fried by an after market line in cable (don't ask). Not much to do on a H6, and never modded before, except to put a new head unit and speakers in the Excel. Will prob do an air filter change, trying (unsuccessfully) to research a CAI for the H6. Gotta pay it off first... plus the snow season is coming up... at least I got the chains thrown in!

Haha, thanks Ric.

This photo is of me installing the JDM radio after my head unit got fried. Totally dehydrated working in the sun and then headed off to a Mexican theme party. Slept it off in the boot later that night. Theme parties FTW.
