After a weekend on testing new CAI setup in conjunction with XRT I pose the following options - tick the item you would like if you were choosing CAI
I decided on a poll to see what the H6 community might be interested in before I get too busy. THIS IS FOR NON SUPERCHARGED H6 powered CARS globally - so there is no confusion - yes for the factory standard Subaru engine
I have only 2 goals with the 3rd option - MORE POWER and the MOST refined H6 intake SOUND on the planet. Perfect driveability etc
Consider that the 3 option + Raptor headers + tune (either XRT or KiDO or your own choice) can show a significant power gain over stock. Yes that much is possible, definitely 20+Kw in total. These are very revy engines so we give it the 100% chance to unleash the potential of this excellent engine. By adding the tuned CAI to my Liberty it went from 149 kw to 158 kw (wheel) yesterday during testing. I have to set it up for cooler intake air and we expect 10kw+ gains consistently.
Both options 2 and 3 are dead easy to fit.
OPTION 3: Requires A TUNE, you cannot drive 1 meter without it. If you have already been tuned by KiDo (within 12months) then possibly this costs you no more, with XRT you need to enquire if any extra tune cost
Poll runs for 45 days - If option three is the most popular then we go ahead - if not then Raptor may not make a NA CAI at all - as I said, I look to bring power gains
The attached chart is a clue to what we are seeing from the unfinished prototype - no tuning apart from a MAF rescale. With additional tuning the power may increase even further - dont know that answer yet
