I am reasonably sure the item will connect

The other thing I only just thought of - your model has the next generation MAF, I will have to check if I can get the RAM tube with that sensor type integrated into it

I need to do some checking

The distance from air surge at back of engine to the inner guard area is also longer so would need to have a slightly longer silicon hose by 40mm to get the air filter past the chassis rail/ABS etc

This RAM INTAKE features parts from the USA - due to the declining value of the AUD vs the USD is is extremely likely that Raptor will discontinue this product until the currency regains strength

To all who have PM'd me and those who have emailed me on this product -

I am stopped on the production - the devaluation of the Australian dollar has caught me out and I simply cannot produce this product at a significant loss

The only way I can make it work is to go to around $610 for the entire RAM INTAKE kit. Of course there are plenty cold air intakes in this price range for other vehicles so its not way out in that sense, furthermore it does offer significant power gains so value is still there.

Let me know

Yeah, that's a damn shame.

I've had it for about two and a half months now and would buy it again in a heart beat, even at that increased cost.

For those sitting on the fence, the biggest things I've found:

- The car loves climbing hills, the torque is the biggest difference I found
- The intake sound is nice, but probably not as nice as the whine of a supercharger
- The intake sound is actually more noticable outside, inside it has a different note
- Fuel consumption is top notch. I managed over 600km to a tank (Gull Force 10)

Overall I think you do notice the power difference but it's so hard to articulate that via words. I think I really notice it when I'm not giving the car any gas.

I mean, when I've got the car in 3rd and climbing a hill in S# and take my foot off the gas completely, you can really feel the loss of power, if that makes sense. The sensation is very different without the CAI. When you put the gas back on, it does throw you back in your seat.

It's also very noticable as a passenger. The missus loves driving the car and she tends to take it right up to 7k when she's shifting and man, it's a good feeling being in the passenger seat!

I'm very happy with it, I still think about a SC install though, but that's more like Tim the Tool man Taylor and more power (gorilla grunts) :-)

Would love to get one for myself in time for xmas - but are there enough buyers to reach critical mass for another production run?

Carrying this forward

I see ORRSOM intakes for a Holden Commodore are typically in the $580 to $600 range. There is a lot more work in the Raptor RAM INTAKE and gains are high. I think I may restart manufacture and list at this price so at least I can afford to manufacture them for those who would like one

I have been able to make quite a saving on another part and will retail the RAM INTAKE for $580

I will have the website updated soon so the cost is the same as shown here ................................................................................
