Anyone without a Denso stock ECM?

That must be true for USDM - for ADM, NZDM and ZADM the dreaded Hitachi shows up regularly

I don't know about Hitachi, but if Subaru programs them similarly, it may be the same.

I'd tell you what I did, but since Ed is tuning the car, I'll let him relay it if he wants to. I will give you this much; I have not at any time altered any triggers in the ECM for a MIL, nor have I got anything running parallel to the ECM to control it. ITS ALL ECM software and tuning.

Again putting impossible to death. :assassin:

I run into Hitachi ECU's extremely regularly on NA Subaru Impreza. They are often MAP sensed (can be MAF as well in very late models) and there is NOTHING you can do with them.

To identify, simply check the manufacturers logo on the MAP or MAF of a suspected vehicle, whichever logo you find printed there - that same company will have manufactured the ECU and most other sensors for that vehicle.

Its always good to see the DENSO logo, as we are now seeing providing he effort gets put in, you can always work with them.

Dyno Day this Saturday, then I schedule a dyno tune to get the timing dialed in.

I'll post up a video.

Update. Ed at Fast Performance Tuning has been doing the latest rounds on tuning since he found out how to work the MAP sensor voltage and we got it to stop leaning out. Here is a dyno run from this morning, Austin, Tx time.

286.6 WHP

I updated my graph to whp. SO your Dyno and mines read the same. So the results of your power to the community is bogus :)

There you have it. Two different WHP/Torque calculations.

That graph is from a 2nd gear pull I did this morning after reflashing the latest ROM from FPT. Before I got to the Dyno.

If it wasn't for Ed at XRT starting this, and Ed at FPT finding a way to work around the MAP issue, this would not have been possible.

All those tuners that turned me down because "Its impossible", meet the impossible.

Well when you have people that do not give up and feel there is always something you can do, dreams becomes realities.

Have a great weekend. I have to tune a 2008 JDM WRX on VP RallyMax, not the vp109 piss. lol

I found myself thinking the same, this means XRT's analysis of logging files to figure Power/Tq is right on the money - I was always wondering! Well done on that score XRT, take a bow!

I wonder no more.

I guess now there is some more tuning to happen on this car regards ignition timing, surely it can get to 290whp ...............

Beside tuning, I belive if the headers and exhaust could be tune more, yeah.

Adding meth/water, yeah. But would prefer to tackle the mechanical side first before compensating.

Don't forget Ed from fast perromance.

This car started out around 180+whp. Its around 100whp more. Lol.

More to go mechanically.
