Outback 3.0 w/ single port heads - SUPERCHARGED

Needs more fuel. Watch the AF sensor just above the boost gauge. Its leaning out. You can also just see the EGT. Its getting to 1400F.

I am going to lower the fuel pressure and see if the pump responds.

As requested. I dont think the community out there knows how difficult it is with lack of ECU support. We are at the limit and new to use some EMS to control this engine. Maybe one could swapped over a 2004 ECU once the sensor pickups can be the same.

The car is automatically going lean in 2nd gear after 5500, but ok in 3rd gear, but in some runs, the boost goes to zero. The boost issue was due to a collapsing Intake Tube.

http://www.subaruoutback.org/forums/110 ... post473290
Today I found the issue with power loss. I log so much data via Rom Raider, it doesn't all fit on the screen and I am constantly scrolling side to side, up/down.

Anyway, Today I watched the vids and looked at logs and saw what the fuel trim was doing. It was getting too rich, "flooding" the cylinders. At the same time, the boost dropped off.

Its not the modules. Either of them and it has been repaired.

The intake elbow on the inlet side of the compressor was being sucked closed to the point it restricted the air thus causing a rich condition.

I took some video after the fix and it is in the process of uploading as I post this.

Boost pressure is up now. No more lag at 5500. The 1-2 shift when floored occurs at 7k, 2-3 about 6500 or so. I didn't leave it floored long enough to find the 3-4 shift because I let off the throttle at 110 to slow down.

When the video completes uploading, I'll post it.

Posted a full parts list here: http://www.xtremeracingtuning.com/forum ... 1355#p1355

I don't think I missed anything. I would suggest though, if the silicone is to be used prior to the SC, it needs an inner support to keep it from being sucked closed. That SC really pulls. HARD.

Wow, a quick 40kw gain by fixing your silicone intake bends - massive

I haven't been able to see your manifold pressure either, what pressure are you achieving? I know from experience (really recent lol) that these cars feel awesome once power goes past 200kw at wheels

That AT of yours shifts like awesome

Is this now the worlds most powerful single port 3.0????

Anyone ever heard of a modded H6 SP anywhere else? Surely someone would have had a go, no??

You have to watch the video really close. It hits close to or at 8 prior to 6500 in a couple of the shots.

I have switched back to 93 octane at a 1/4 tank E85 and after a few miles driving, there is a change in the trim levels. Boost hit 8.7 after the gasoline was added. I think the volume of E85 necessary is more than the pump or injectors can trade for. I'll know more after driving it a bit and the computer learns more.

With E85 you have to use more fuel.

Your torque is WAY more than the one I just completed - shows the benefit of the extra PSI's going into the motor lol

I didnt crack 300 and you are on 350Nm - go you good thing

Don't discount the E85 fuel, big difference over pump

I am in process of uploading a video of 5 runs made at the dragway. Let me warn you now. Its not pretty. I wasn't getting any boost due to the belt slipping caused by oil coating the front of the engine, pulleys and belts. Crankcase pressure was relieving itself via the dipstick tube. And since I use Royal Purple, it sticks to everything and makes it ultra slick. The issue has been resolved and I also changed pulley configuration and belt size. The input pulley is now wrapped about 260 degrees or so and on the drive home from the shop seemed to be working out as boost was back up.

At this time, the upload is almost complete. http://youtu.be/i9HfjYS-IYk

Are you using RP fluids in the diffs etc?

Transmission mount, broken, replaced.
Rear Differential bushings, ripped, filled with 3M Window Weld and holding solid. I got the OE bushings in today and am still looking for poly that will fit proper.
Front lower control arm rear bushing, ripped, replaced both this morning and realigned the car.
No more issues with the engine since the last time at the track where I got oil spewed on the belt. So, track tonight. Hopefully, the runt goes, with his wife the camera operator, and we get video.
I expect good run times. The more I drive it, the better it reactes. The ECM is learning.
With everything tightened up and no more mount or bushing movement, the wheels are breaking easier. I got sideways darting into traffic the other day.

I use Royal Purple synthetic in everything. I have been using RP for years in all my cars.
