Another Raptor pressurised Legacy 2.5

This one has just gone the billet impeller and watercooling upgrade - complete new charger, plus the shmick BOV you see

The work is not yet done, hence you will find a couple of things missing in the images :)

Hey Tim,

I sent you a pm about 2 weeks ago and was wondering what your thoughts were regarding the temperature, and also literature on the SC for my H4.
Hope to hear from you.

Cheers,
Al

Hmm

I just posted the numbers here and answer - oh well here I go again lol

Oil Temp 91 degrees C
Coolant temp 96 degrees C
Intake Air Temp 37 degrees C

What rpm were these numbers taken at?

The intake air is a sweet temp

The other 2 are likely typical for the engine if its doing some real work. If you wanted to lower the coolant temp you could install a lower temp thermostat.

Here are the typical numbers for a WRX - normal oil temps are around 210-220F or so, and around 240ish with hard driving. Your SC engine is actually cooler than the temp range indicated here for the turbo factory engine

Al

Maybe just lock the BOV down and leave it that way for your car - will help a lot i suspect

BOV adjustment screw - 3mm Hex Key needed

Simply, screw the adjuster screw in the cap of the BOV all the way in until it becomes a bit firm to screw, tighten lock nut just a little

Is Nic able to assist?

Hey Tim,

Just curious to know, what amount of water is consumed by the water cooled system on a weekly basis with less than 100 kms of driving?
For H6s' and H4s' who are running a water cooled set up. Any information is appreciated!

Cheers,
Al

Interesting....well then I've got a leak somewhere as I'm using about 100 - 200 mls of water per week ... and have no idea where it's going. :?

Check your WTA reservoir. A couple of us had issues with it leaking. Mines been good since i introduced it to silicon. Also double check your water lines and connections.

All good points

The system (Intercooler)only retains a couple of Raptor parts, the previous owner changed most parts for much larger items, difficult to know where the issue could potentially be

Another Liberty H4 2.5i joined the supercharger ranks. Located in SA, he made 154kw at the wheels on 7.5psi.

Might post some pics and dyno chart later
