what kind of belt i have to use, when i fit new pulley?

i bought DAYCO 6PK2290,but i can change it!

Vlad

Your original belt should have been a 2285 - see if you can get 2280. I havent used that small pulley on the system yet so I am genuinely guessing on the correct length, given its a small change I "think" the 2285 should still be ok

hm,
very interesting,at Supercharger System fitment instructions\PART LIST\ is written : 1 x 6PK 2300 drive belt and i am using 2300

Vlad

You are correct - I have just updated the instructions so it correctly indicates 6PK2285

The belt is from BOSCH

Tim does a bonnet scoop add any benefit to an intercooled setup or would it purely be wank factor?

i would like to put bonnet with scoop, but there will be air bag effect (the engine will not cooling well) or you have to shape air flow directly to SC-cooler and isulate it with some foil or tin,to not enter this flow to fan and rad.

Seg

It (GT scoop) would look extremely cool and serve not much purpose, as Vlad suggests the air from the scoop would have to be properly ducted otherwise it may adversly affect airflow through engine radiator

S/C now removed and ready for pulley replacement

Good work, best way to safely do it

Smaller pulley on. Was pretty easy to do with your instructions and tools you mentioned. :D

Car is back together and running the smaller pulley.

I can confirm that boost @ 7000rpm has risen from 7.5psi to 9psi.

Boost also now comes on earlier in the rev range too :D
