Thought it about time I mentioned how much I have enjoyed the experience of having the only sc Spec B in the UK and what a great performance upgrade it has proved to be. Its not all been plain sailing but that has had nothing to do with the sc package from Tim. I went for the WTA intercooler from the off with 58mm pulley and a set of Raptor headers. My car has no cats fitted, thats another story please see my other thread, the headers are connected to a full 3 inch exhaust system with quad tips.

Matt did the initial remote tuning which was essential to make the most of the transformation. When the time came to put her on the dyno the venue I wanted to use were not setup to run with it being remotely mapped. Sorry about that Matt.

So on the final map from Matt this is what we got.

Image

Then after a quick tweek we got
Image

Then with a few more tweeks we got

Image

So all in all a really decent power gain over the standard setup, I am over the moon and all this power is still being produced from only 7psi.

The mapper who did the final tweeks said I was the single most value for money mod he has ever seen and that the power delivery is just so linear it makes for a really fun drive.

Can't wait to get the car back.

Richard

Thankyou for the data from your tuning

The Legacy will be amazing to drive, with that amount of HP. Fun factory!!

You could get even more (if you wanted to) with a compressor wheel upgrade to your supercharger. It would be about another 15Kw normally.

You are also our very first customer to crack the 250kw atw power number and in fact you took it all the way to 281kw atw - the first in the world to do so!!!!!

The amazing part is you could get even more (if you wanted to) with a compressor wheel upgrade to your supercharger. It would be about another 15Kw normally.

Hi Tim, if only that was true. The figures quoted are for engine output not at the wheel but either way the car is fantastic fun to drive.

May well change the pulley when I have got a few more miles on her.

Oh dear, I haven't seen Dyno dynamics quote engine power since I don't know when, but that's Australia, forgot that UK n Europe mostly talk engine output.

That's cleared that up - to my dismay lol

Yeah it was only a safe base map to run in the new engine for the 333 odd hp as it was for optimal bed in of rings.

Tim as you know I'm sitting here with my engine in pieces again waiting for the start of the next rebuild. I know we have discussed forged internals, if I were to run a smaller pulley would it not also be beneficial to run with a clutched sc in terms of longevity, would the billet impeller just move the power down the rev range without delivering more at higher rpm.

On another thread you spoke about the possibility of fitting a larger sc from your range, what are the realistic chances of getting it to fit?

It's just having the opportunity to upgrade the internals maybe sensible if i start looking for more power.

I will briefly touch on your questions

The billet impeller adds power/torque everywhere, there are no losses at all, gains only. Many people here use this upgrade

SC Clutching is beneficial for manual cars - removes a lot of shock from the charger on gear changes

I can investigate the Raptor R fitment, I finally have a spare one to play with at the moment

Am I right in thinking my current sc is without clutch? What are the costs of the impeller upgrade and clutch versus trading in my current sc for the larger one.

Cheers

Hi Rob
I don't want to clog up Tim's thread so please read my thread in introductions under the title of UK 3.0 Spec B supercharged but it has nothing to do with Raptor and a lot to do with fraudulent engine builder s.
