Been told Hillside Exhausts in ferntree gully and rowville exhaust do great work at a good price.

Good to hear. Apparently the IPEC delivery person reckoned he was running out of time each day and therefore terminated his run, what a circus. He got a good tune up and you got the headers.

Booked in for Monday at Hillside Exhausts Furntree Gully. Jay is a Subaru enthusiast. His mrs drives a rex

Said between 200-300 for installation.

what do you guys reckon, about running these headers with the standard cats, 3rd cat delete and tcp quads.

would the stock cats choke it down too much?

My car has stock cats - if you dont ever plan on supercharging or running the Raptor CAI, then stock cats are fine in my books, so long as they are servicable (not damaged, clogged etc)

Tim, how'd you line up the headers with the stock Y pipe which has a dual skin wall? Or did you have a custom Y pipe made up but kept the stock cats?

Sub, I have never involved myself with that detail. All the fitting work was done by an exhaust professional. I could not tell you how or in what manner he adapted the dual skin section to the flange. I know I do still have the dual skin section from flange to cat in place, how they sealed between the skin ...... I doubt they even did. I tested the whole setup in the most compromised arrangement in order that I could not fail at the customer level, if it worked for me under my test conditions then it works for every customer for certain, and i has lol.

Hope that sort of helps.

Weld inside the flange for inner wall, weld outside wall to outside of flange :)
