The Tactrix has arrived

Can begin working on a few things now

Well, here we are, the moment of truth with this Tactrix openport 2 and also ECUFLASH

All software downloaded, drivers installed, the openport gadget working fine, but no mention of a Liberty 3.0 in the list of choices, sitting in car and all fired up. Tried a few other Subaru options but nothing working

Have emailed Ed but no reply's so far, will give him a few hrs to respond, its probably the dead of night there maybe

Its definitely my aim to find the bugs in this stuff and sort it out so its a stress free event to extract and load tunes

Will report more soon

**downloading ROMRAIDER to see what that can do. I have to say in all my communications about this stuff there hasnt been any mention of how all this actually works.

That what i can remember of my first time , first connect the green connector in your passenger side then start ecuflash and choose read from ecu, after that follow the instruction and and save to a file - just ignore the error messages - and then send this file to Edward.

I got to the same spot. Then lost interest. Romraider is good but.

OK so we have a ROM and its gone to Ed

So

1. Connect green plugs on passenger side, on right side of footwell

2. Insert the Tactrix into the OBD port located near bonnet release lever, you push tactrix vertically upwards into plug

3.Turn ignition key on

4. Open software, select READ FROM ECU, then list comes up

5. Select ANY Subaru DBW file and then click READ

6. You will see a progress bar working across bottom of view, once its 100% it ask you to turn key off and then asks you where you want the file saved and what you want to call it

DONE

Then send it off to ED

Now that should help you DOOYAB

To get familiar with how the next step goes I have requested something from Ed that I can practice with for a week or so before I go with the SC installation

No point screwing it up when several things are being changed at once, I prefer to understand this step really well and then I can help the customer much better as well as myself
