I have our normal mild steel high performance headers in stock at the moment


I appreciate all the comments - I absolutely welcome them, I dont like what I am seeing and what point to step backward for shiny only, we want shiny and the original design - too hard?? You would think SO

Would it be worth sending the manufacturer a set of originals CKD (Completely Knocked Down) so they can copy each header and the merge collectors individually?
Surely they could get that right?

UPDATE

We received the first set of headers, no good, look great but nothing like the original design. We had email discussion and they thought we would be happy with the more simple design of their style rather than ours.

So, they say they now making 100% faithful duplication of the original. It is indicated about 1.5 weeks and then we are in business with complete version of the correct design

Some nice shiney paper weights here.

At least we know they do SHINEY really well, the flanges were all as I expect, just need the bit in between made to spec.

The factory is busy as hell on the new direct copy - keep you all informed

The fellow who bought the "not quite correct" SS headers we got in last week received them yesterday, he was extremely pleased with the finish of them! So, we sure have finish and appearance - the correct design (copy of) is the bit we are waiting on

I hope that someone can give me the answer, i need the diameter of the OEM In/Out of the cats of the H6. Please don´t tell to meassure - i don´t have OEM.

I think 2" from memory. Subaru OE headers which include the cats use a dual wall for the pipes.

Probably right - I measured the O.D and that was awhile ago.

I only recently threw my stock manifolds in the bin too!

I did measure at the time but cannot recall, maybe check if anything in first part of this thread



The NEW and correct version of the SS headers is going to be ready in the next 2 days and be shipped out for examination - it is so close to all systems GO now
