Another Audi, although brand new S3 this time needing some Opti-coat/Optic-guard paint protection

Even on a brand new car the clay bar picks up a few troubled areas

After paint protection applied:

Next up a quite well known GTR R35...

Hamish you do awesome work!! If only you lived in Perth :(

I just wanted to ask you a question, what do you use if you wanted to take your wheels off and give a good clean in the gaurds, brakes and that area in general?

I seen in your own build thread you used a 3 in 1 degreaser/cleaner, do you remember the brand?

Thanks
Nick :D

What is used in your tar removal step? I haven't washed mine in ages and I can already foresee some areas which soap and elbow grease won't fix!

Sunday was Willall racings new R35.

It had some wet sanding marks & swirl marks from the dealership as well as some deep marks from getting the roll cage installed.

TarX is a good product that will remove those spots you have!

I always forget to ask prior to working on the car and then both sides don't want to touch the car once it's all done :D

A lot of missed opportunities but I'm sure I will be back to Willall racing for a retune or do their Lambo/ CL63 etc and will ask then.

Nice.
Does the carbon fibre have the same clear coat or do you have to treat it differently?

The paint was rock hard in comparison. Always have to be aware of the carbon bits.

Even between Aluminum/Steel/plastic bumpers normally a difference.
