Lets talk tuning (KiDo Tunes)

Thanks Matt for sorting my boost spike issues out last night.

Long story short, multiple tune revisions trying to sort out why my car would boost spike with no reason. Turns out the vacuum line to the WG was disconnected/come loose. Fitted it back on, car runs smoother, pulls harder, and no boost spike. Happy days.
Cheers

OK, Matt gave me an update when he was in Adelaide a few weeks ago, and my god.......if you haven't been fortunate enough to get it yet, or are still thinking about having a tune, then read on, because it most definitely should be done!
I had Matt do my first tune in November last year and WOW, it was a huge improvement over stock. Massive. Changed the entire car.
So I thought an update would just be some minor stuff that I probably wouldn't really notice. Boy, how wrong I was!
Before he got here, Matt told me to hold on to my hat when he did the update. And that had me wondering, how much more can there be?
Well, to start with the torque increase is something you can instantly feel. It really is THE car to drive now! The gear changes are even tighter and smoother, if that's possible. The car feels even more amazing now. Also feels like Matt has been able to eek out a touch more power too. And I'm sure there are a dozen other things in there that I can't feel that have been improved. The other thing Matt was able to tell me that my front AFR sensors were shot, so a little bit of dicking around has given me a pair delivered to my door from the US at the same cost as one from Subaru Australia. Unbelievable. So at the moment my fuel economy is still up the shit, but sensors will be installed very soon. So given these sensors have a seemingly short(ish) life span, have them checked.
So, after all this, I will be eating my own words.......after Matt's first update I told my cousin that I was happy, and that I'd leave it there........well, a set of Tim's stainless headers and a retune from Matt later, I'm now looking very very seriously at Tim's intake upgrade, (in fact, it's a given. I'm buying one!) and I'm sure that still won't be enough for me!!! On one hand I hate you guys for providing products that I want......and the money keeps rolling out the door! but on the other love you guys for delivering me a car that is really awesome to drive and so much fun!

I would like to drive a tuned H6 to see what they are like. Any idea on what power and torque you are making with this setup?

You should drive one. They are sooo smooth. And although it's not the torque of a 6L V8 it is absolutely relentless right up the range. I have no real idea on the power with headers and tune but, Loads!. Matt is the one to speak to here for estimates and dyno results but all I know is that I'm scaring the crap out of performance cars that I probably shouldn't be!!

Matt tuned my 2010 Liberty GT MT on 2 weeks ago, car runs much better now, Rev match I believe that is what they name it is very helpful, car runs more smooth on lower rev.

fuel consumption does not change a lot, full tank(50L) still run 430KM

Thanks Kido, good work

Hi Matt
I sent you a pm asking about a tune for my H6. I'm just wondering if you received it as I am new to this forum, and that was the first pm I have sent.

Tonight, Tuesday, same same, take your time make sure you are 100% happy with it as we will start and drive to fault check the auto fix with this rom.

Please activate the throttle close and timing retard on gear changes. Gotta drive him for a while as an auto so dont want to inadvertently smash another center diff and housing.

Thanks a lot Matt.
