The car has a lot more power and the turbo spools up faster earlier than before so I wasn't sure how the fuel economy would change. Pre tune I drove the car in S and S#, I averaged 13.0l/100km pretty consistently, it would head up to 13.8 after a bit of a drive through the hills, or a drive through the city in peak hour traffic.

Now that it's been tuned I've been driving the car a little harder. Even still my economy hasn't breached 13.0 at all, I'd imagine I could get it down quite a bit once my right foot calms down. What's interesting is that I had to do quite a few drives through peak hour traffic in the last few weeks for exams, and my fuel economy has actually gone down to 12.8 rather than increasing as I would've expected.

Obviously these aren't huge changes but given how much more regularly I've been opening it up in second, or letting it spool up in 4th I'm very happy with the improvements. I've been driving between S and S# a lot since, my S# button is getting quite the work out as I've gotten used to switching between the two, even tried to hit S# in my other car at one point... Intelligent mode still doesn't get much use unless I have someone else in the car, but it is very driveable still, I just find S is more than smooth enough.

My assumption on economy is similar. The economy per tank just gets better as I relearn where the sweet spot is with the cars new power. I'm now finding my car is just improving more and more on fuel. Best to date is 11.2 with 90% city driving and a combo of S and S#.

I am on S# all the time now (why not!!) and getting similar fuel economy.

Because post-tune, S# is brutal and slightly dangerous to drive in peak hour traffic in. Don't get me wrong, this is a good thing, there are times and places for I (rarely!) and S though :)

Ha ha the mister says this, and I keep asking if he needs some concrete ;) (mind you he use to drive a nicely worked wagon that put out over 300kw at the rears so thats why I lay it on thick) But yes he tends to drive in I. I live in S#.

Another very happy Kido tuning customer. I got my stock 07 Gt-b tuned today and it now feels like a different car. Torque everywhere in the rev range. Very very happy with the result

Any plans for a Melbourne visit? My S and S# need a nice tune to fix the sluggish takeoff as well as the crap fuel economy, dbw etc.

I have the definition file, only tweaked the accelerator for a smoother power. They dont make much more on power unfortunately.
