Highway / Offroad Tyres

Hey guys, whats the latest on offroad tyres for the Outback?
Thoughts on the new Cooper CS5? Anything better for a 80-90% road / 10-20% offroad tyre?

Yokohama Geolander AT-S.

All terrain tyre.

Probably more tuned for off-road than highway so less grip on tarmac but infinitely better off road than a standard highway tyre.

I had Geolanders on my old Outback and they lasted about 20k kms on alpine roads doing a 80/20 mix. The CS5s lasted about 50k kms and while not as grippy as the Yokos on the tarmac they were still a very good tyre. Although, at $400/corner it was cheaper to buy a set of Rota 18x8.5s and a set of Maxxis iPro 235/45s and drive slower on the gravel.
