Suspension and bushings

Postby Evozn » Sun Aug 10, 2014 2:03 am

My lower control arm bushings have split, so I need a new pair. I've done a little search for a Super Pro kit, apparently the set for a BP(E) Liberty won't suit an Outback. Only suspension difference between them I know of is the shocks but are lower control arms, sway bars and all that different too?

I was looking at this, http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/301251954678 ... 1438.l2648

Thanks.

Oldish thread
Comparing pictures, the Outback has 2 larger bushes in the kit compared to the Lib's are all the same size

I fitted SPF3378K on my 04, sorry can't say whether the Lib's SPF2801K will fit or not, I'd say they will fit but will change your steering dynamics due to the different offset the bush sizes would give, which would confer with the way I've noticed a lib turns compared to mine.

Got mine through Sparespro http://www.sparespro.com.au/page/suspen ... ue-choice/

btw, to get the old bushes out if you dont have correct spacers for the press, I hacked out the old rubber then hack-sawed the outer of the bush to within a fraction of the arm and within the welded area of the arm, then banged it out. U need a press to insert the new bush.
