On a gen-4 outback? I would've thought you'll shit that in with the wider guards....

I'm hoping so...

Car is at the smash repairers, an 83yr old man took my Mrs and baby out last week... a side swipe turning into a driveway at 80lm's/hr.
Girls are OK luckily...
Just unable to make measurements at the moment... working long days, repairer works short days.

Looking into my options for new rims...

Mate, you should be going 8.5 +40ish

+55 is standard offset, 7.5" is only the STI Enkeis

We are talking about what size you can fit under an outback guard yea???
Gen 4 lib you can go 18x8.5 +45ish before you poke.
Some people have done 18x9 but having to run 2-4degrees of camber to keep it inside. Not worth the $$$ on tyres.

I would have thought on a outback guard you could go 18x9 easy.

I did mine but found the liberty GT springs far too bouncy so in the rear im going to fit the stock outback springs with the bilsteins to eliminate the bounce.

I may have to get a front spacer for the shocks so the cars sits even

Heres before i owned it

Heres how its sits now. Rear is lower than the front but once i fit the outback springs it should level out

Wow, wreckers asking for $600 for Billies shocks and springs off a GT Wagon.

Would there be much difference in ride harshness compared to stock Outback suspension?

I have a set of bilsteins available if you are keen

I have found the ride fine except the rear if you dont have wagon springs (i was sent sedan ones bfore they sent the correct ones) the car will be bouncy over all bumps etc

Sedan springs have less coils and weigh less than wagon ones
