Haven't looked yet as I'm in the warm house and my car is outside in the cold rain. Thought I would get an answer here quicker rather than waiting till tomorrow when I go to work.

It's for a CD changer. If the car isn't fitted with one then it'll do nothing

So the cars without cd changers come with the button on the radio as well

Yep. Why manufacture yet another stereo to go into the cars. I'd assume that the cd changer was an optional extra & the head unit remained unchanged

Oh I just thought that being the same base model as our liberty that it would have same stereo but it's got climate control as well.

If it had a changer where would it be?
