Reprogramming remote unlocking.

First off, I didn't know what to call this thread, so please don't crucify me :)

What I'm interested to find out, is if you can change what turns on/off when you lock/unlock your car...

At the moment, when I unlock the car, the blinkers flash twice, when I lock, they flash once.

What I would like, is when I lock the car, the blinkers flash twice, but when I unlock the car, blinkers flash once/parkers + reverse lights turn on.

Anyone heard of this for a subaru?

Very interesting request, but I can see where you coming from.

Have never heard of anyone every being able to make the change & suspect it may not be possible... Although... In the Mitsubishi's they have a thing call ETECS (I believe that is what it's called) which, through the MMCS unit, allows you to change settings such as this... Soooo, with the right gear, it may actually be possible.

I'm pretty sure my mate was able to do it with his SV6 commodore, but I have no idea how he did it, and I'll have to confirm that.

yeah, on the Falcons and Commodores you can change that sort of stuff on the user interface screens - you need to be at a standstill to do it first though.

Short of completely reprogramming the ECU/BCU I don't think what you are asking for can be done.
