How to fix broken central locking on Liberty?

I've got a problem with the central locking on my Liberty 3.0R-B, in that the rear left door occasionally does not lock or unlock. It might take 2 or 3 presses of the button for it to eventually lock. This happens probably 20% of the time, and the other 80% of the time the door locks and unlocks fine.
Subaru refused to fix it under warranty because a few of the services were undertaken at slightly longer than 6 months (although always well under 12,500kms). Strange, I didn't know changing the oil would help keep the central locking system working?
Anyway, I was just wondering if anyone knew what the cause of this problem might be and how I might undergo fixing it?

Agree & same problem both sides, one side has been replaced already & Subaru has agreed to replace the other if it continues to play up

Thanks guys.
How much would it cost roughly to get the door solenoid replaced?
Is this something that can easily be done diy?

Subaru will charge about $300 incl labour.
You can do it yourself for under $200.

The actuators are not designed to be serviceable, but with some coercion can be opened up and repaired according to this thread:
