I have read on other forums of people and even some workshops doing this mod. Does it do anything other than just make more intake noise?

with the new filter your getting removing of resonator box (in the iner front gaurd under the air box) will provide extra air into the air filter box.By doing this you will also increase induction noise

So the air will still be cool air and not from the engine bay?

Will the increase in airflow aid performance?

So in your experience it is a worthwhile mod?

its FREE so you cant go wrong

a little extra air flo wont hurt

and lastly if you dont feel happy with this mod just return it back to standed

Considering doing the same thing to the B4. The service shop apparently has a PDF with detailed instructions for the mechanically challenged weekend warrior like me!

yeah not a hard mod to do. requires a bit of wriggling to get the box out once bolts are removed. prob could do it in 10-15 mins

that was my 2nd mod after the gear nob .. keke

the hardest part is taking out the air box .. after that .. is putting the air box back ... very easy mod !!
