Remove rear bumper MY03 wagon

Postby KNINJA » Mon Apr 05, 2010 10:54 am

Hi guys,

Sorry if this is a stupid question, I'm pretty inexperienced when it comes to working on cars... I'm trying to remove the bumper on my MY03 liberty wagon. I've taken the plastic plugs out from the bottom and the bolts from behind the wheels on the top side but it still feels like its got something holding the top edge in and I cant figure out how to get to it... any pointers would be appreciated

There should be some more to remove from inside the car. Did you remove the trim in the cargo area.

This ia a link to a parts site but will give you an idea of what's there

http://opposedforces.com/parts/legacy/e ... ear_bumper

if you can wait I can post up the instruction later today as I am at work

Thanks, I got it eventually... I found the plugs in the top hiding underneath the seal rubber, they were a real bitch to get out (and even worse to get back in), and then there was a pair of plastic brackets on either side of the hatch that I had to get a thin screw driver thru the gap between the bumper and the panel to undo the clips on... after that with a bit of a determined yank it came loose.
