Hey Everyone,

Got some amazing help from Tek this afternoon on regards to connecting some lights through the 12v power in the Cigarette Lighter in my car.
What I would like to know though is, (to gen 3 owners) How do you access behind the cigarette lighter? I removed the trim around the gearstick (automatic if that makes any difference) I disconnected the 'Power/Hold' button and also took out the coin tray and ashtray.
Now Im stuck, where to from here?

Heres a picture, (not of my car obviously)
Ive taken out B Do I need to remove A Aswell?

If thats what I need to take out, where are the clips behind it located? Just so I Don't break anything.
After that, whats my next move?
Thanks for the Help guys.

It should all come out with A and then just pop the plugs off the back.

Bit more to it then just removing "A" you need to remove the Ashtray to get access to the screws to the whole ashtray lighter area, here's some pic's showing the center console to Stereo surrounds removals for you! All much the same auto to manual with surrounds apart from the plastic of the Auto gate scratches very easily so use a clean soft cloth to cover it whilst pulling it apart. Probably more info then you needed :D

I've done an install in a Gen3 before, those 2 upwards screws where the ash try is (green arrows) are real bastards to get out. I ended up using a right-angled phillips head that was in my dad's workshop to get at them!

Good luck with it all. 8)
