Marvel, are you after light or dark tint, and do you have a sedan or wagon? Because if it's a wagon you'll have to go the smoked LED taillight route as there is no tint film application for the wagon.

go to autobahn bayswater and when you walk into the shop, head towards the right wall and along the end of the isles you will see the different sized sheets of tint and in the different darknesses.

I no the bayswater autobahn has tint as thats where i got mine from and I was told that not all autobahns have tint in stock so if you go to your local autobahn just give them a quick call before you go to insure they stock it.

So have you used normal window tint film for your taillights already?

Good luck man! The reason why it's never been done before is that the film is too thin to apply to a curved, plastic surface. Plus it's not meant for external exposure. But if you can make it work, go for it! :D

i dont no if this is true or not, but the guy at the place i got my car windows tinted told me that if your applying Tint Film to a curved surface that if you use salt water to apply the film, that the salt in the water allows it to stretch to the curve alot easier.

anyone no if this is true or a load of bs?

i used to do window tinting a few years ago and we've always been told to use a head gun and shrink the tint to the curved surface just like how u do it with back windows same shit never heard of the salt water thing before

ive got a 05 sedan, n i want them darkened but not totally black, more like a dark red. I know some people that have used the spray to do it and it comes out pretty good, just a bit dark. with the film tho, wouldn't it be really hard to cut and shape it exactly as the liberty lights, or do they sell specific liberty taillight film anywhere so it fits perfectly?
cheers

you would most likely have to cut around the shape of the tail light with a stanley knife or something similar, i havnt heard of anyone that actualy creates templates for tail lights

yeahit would be hard to get it perfect with the light curvature tho, the spray might be the thing to try first, seeing as u can always remove it.
