Postby ngn33r » Wed Dec 09, 2009 2:11 pm

hey,

my08 2.5i
Where is the nearest 12V ACC souce to the boot?

Is there anything in the boot?
Need a nice cooler for the drinks during summer...

I just wanted to confirm before I run 12V from the front of the car....
Sucks there is no battery in the boot like other cars :(

Thanks :)

Nothing in the boot that I'm aware of.

I would suggest you run a 8gauge power cable if you are going to run one to the boot, since you could always in future install a small car audio amp or similar if you choose. It otherwise makes the job much more worthwhile because at any other later time you can always install more items onto that cable. A 12 gauge or smaller cable is going to have a fair bit of voltage drop otherwise when you have that long a run. You may be OK with a 10gauge but then why not just buy the more common 8gauge :)

Remember to fuse :)

Sedan or wagon?
Wagons are supposed to already have wiring in the loom for a rear power outlet.

do it the sri lankan way and just sticky tape the "extension cord" from your dash outlet along the roof lining down to your boot :P
