How do you remove front grill 3.0l

Hi all, silly question, but I tried to remove the front grill on my car. I removed all the clips that I was able to see but it still didnt budge and I am a little confused.I don’t want to break it so has any one out there removed one off a 3.0l :oops: :oops: :angry2:

Yes, I took mine off a few months ago, because it had never been sitting right after the bumper was repaired.

There are 8 clips you have to release, four each of two types.

and the bottom then slides forward to release. It will like like this once the grille is out.

Just raise the centre of the round plugs, and pull them out.
Be careful with the square plugs, you have to press a lip down to release them, and they break easily. (Only a few $ to get new ones from Subaru though)

One more "gotcha" with the round ones.
Don't try to pull them out by the centre plug. Pull the cente out about 8 to 10 mm to release the plug, but if the whole thing doesn't then slide out easily, lever up the OUTER part of the plug. If you pull the centre part out harder, it will jam the plug in.
