Change cd player in 04 liberty 2.0?

Hi, i'm new here, also got my first car not long ago, so I'm not too familiar with how it all works. As you all know, the 2004+ Liberty cd players are inbuilt into the dash. What would i have to do to be able to get custom cd players in there. Are there different faceplates that we can buy. I'm interested in putting something in that can play Mp3's and maybe have an Aux to plug my ipod in? (not the best one, but something good enough for a start) Also, how much am I looking at spending. Any help would be appreciated :)

Speak to PHAT GT about a single or double DIN panel replacement.
Once you have that, you can install pretty much whatever after market stereo you fancy.

Fill in the location in your profile, then we know what state you're in :)

YES, PHAT GT is a great guy and is able to source the correct AV Panel Set for you.

If you want to see what I and other have done in swapping out the factory stereo for an aftermarket setup,

Does the 2.0 even have climate control? If it doesn't then you don't need to get the JDM a/v fascia (~$420.00). You can get just an aftermarket hvac fascia which Scosche makes and is much much cheaper (reuses your existing hvac controls).

I think the 2.0 have manual climate control, which means that you only need the top half, unlike the rest of us suckers...

Just for future reference the Scosche plane is on for left hand drive cars and left hand drive AC units
I bought one to convert my car ended up buying a left hand AC from America on eBay and the cover plate doesn't quite fit.
A few gaps on the sides where trimming wont fit in it the only frustrating thing if anyone know of another cover plate do tell.
thanks edges

Sorry about that mate. You could maybe buy one of the 2din av panels off japanautos.com which is in two parts (a/c controls facia is separate from double din facia) and then carefully cut your av panel so that you could use the manual controls from your original with the other facia.

Soz that might not make sense

cheers
