ODBII vs SSM

Postby CheesyMong » Sun Jul 26, 2009 6:14 pm

Hi Guys

Not sure if this is a silly question but anyway...

Looking at buying a Tactrix OP2 cable which I know can read the SSM protocol and once supported I will use with a SSM plugin to view some realtime stats.

However can this same cable read ODBII codes? and does anyone know what sort of device does it mimick ie a ELM327 etcc...In simple terms will the tactrix cable be able to send ODBII infor to 3rd party programs.

Cheers

Yes, the Tatrix 2.0 cable will do everything you're suggesting there.

If you like, post up the exact application, but there's not much you can't do with that cable.

I was trying to confirm it would work with standard OBD programs like DashCommand or the inbuilt OBD monitors in Centrafuse.
