Replacing remote battery

Postby wassell2381 » Fri Jun 12, 2009 1:35 pm

One of my remotes needs a new battery. I bought the new 1 but am worried about removing the battery as it might remove the coding for the car. My sisters Astra has to be recoded the car when the batteries are removed. Is there any precedure i should go through when replacing the battery.

Cheers
Dan

Just unscrew the cover and pop the two halves apart. New battery goes in. Put it back together you're all done, no recoding needed.

I checked too before I did it just in case it loses the coding, but it does not :)
