If you plan to do it yourself, remove the grill, remove the chrome bits, sand it, prime it and then paint it.

I'd get it painted by a panel shop...

I painted mine myself, relatively easy.

Like what mo said.

I was instructed to sand off chrome, then sand the grille with 240grit sand paper, then primer, then 800grit on primer, then spray with desired colour.

Did you sand off the chrome Darren?

Well yeah. Because I didn't think the primer would stick to such a smooth surface.

+1

At least scuff it so the primer/paint has something to latch onto.

Its not realy chrome but plastic in a chrome finish, once you sand it down you'll find that there's either white or black plastic behind it.

Cool - 'coz I thought that I saw some chrome under your stone chips - haha!  :D This coming from a bloke who has so many stone chips on his bonnet it's beginning to look silver! :?
