Hi Guys,
I own a Liberty GT MY04 sedan that has been beaten and battered for the last 6 months. I'm looking to spend some cash and revitalise it. Things I'm looking to do include:
- New wheels and tires (black alloy)
- New rear bumper (existing one is irrepairably damaged)
- Rear spoiler
- New tail lights (maybe)
- Quad tip exhaust (maybe)
I'll be the first to admit I have a limited knowledge on cars however my biggest hurdle is trying to find people/suppliers in Brisbane to go to in order to get what I want. It seems everywhere I go noone really knows much about these Liberty GTs.
Can anybody help or give suggestions on choosing/sourcing the parts that I need, as well as where I can get the work done?
Thank you all in advance.

Hey Rav,
I have one very good condition left hand rear tail light suitable for your
model of liberty for $150 and I'll happily fit it for you when you come to pickup the item.
Also, I can give you advice in regards to sourcing most of the other bits you may need and the appropriate people to fit etc......
Please feel free to send me a PM for further assistance.
Cheers,
Lok

Have you got a budget for the mods/purchases?
- New wheels and tires (black alloy) - tons of options from reconditioning and painting your stock wheels to JDM lightweight racing rims
- New rear bumper (existing one is irrepairably damaged) - suggest you try local Subaru importers or agents, in Perth there are a couple of options and likely more than that in the eastern states.
- Rear spoiler - try Troy at Prospeed Racing dot come- New tail lights (maybe) - HKS-Speed dot come
- Quad tip exhaust (maybe) - Hitech dot com located in Sydney or check group buy section for Phat muffler group buy

Thanks for the replies guys,
I havent really set myself a budget although I'm certainly not going all out here. Perhaps something in the range of $3-4K if that's enough (im not sure how much this stuff costs).
In regard to the rear bumper, am I able to find after market parts to replace it, or even stock parts from a newer model? I've always wanted to change the rear bumper if possible.

Fitting a facelifted rear bumper onto your MY04 will require replacement of other parts as well such as the tail-light.. I believe there is a thread floating around somewhere about this.

Hmmm, I have this vague notion that I read somewhere on one of the US forums where some guy did a conversion to the MY06 rear bumper ? I believe it isn't a straight out with the old and in with the new because mounting points/openings for tail lights are in slightly different positions ?

yeah we've mentioned the rear bumper change in here before. You'll need new tail lights and I think mounting brackets for the bumper
