Err, the original poster, GT Tony, is asking what bulb configuration his headlights & foglights are because he's looking to buy a set off eBay. Don't think he's selling anything.

What are you after 2fast4u? HID upgrades? Just for the H7 headlights for you Gen4? Lot of conversion kits out there ranging from $35 - $200. Stay away from the $35. :D Those prices are for a pair as they usually come in a kit with the bulbs, ballasts, wiring, etc. I think in relation to your previous question, $165 should be for the set.

There's a user by the name of Leo (HKS180) which sells the kits and can help with installation if you're in Sydney.

MY05 HID kits

Postby MH3.0R » Thu Feb 05, 2009 8:45 pm

Guys,

I am a littel confused as to which bulbs and kits are needed.

Can you indicate the Low Beam number,

The High Beam number, and

The Fog Light number.

Is there one kit for each Beam and Fog (total 3 kits?)

Would appreciate prices also.

Kind Regards,

Mark.

Leo,

From my reading of several threads, you seem to be the gun on installation, but as I am in Melbourne, have you got any tips about placement/fitting/wiring of the 6 ballast needed for full conversion of LB, HB and Fogs?

Any photos would also be appreciated and tips on tools and connectors wiring gauges/strands etc. (radio/elec trade of some year backs, so I still remember some of the basics). Any sequence would also be appreciated.

Kind Regards,

Mark.

Are you upgrading your Hi beams to HID's too? TBH it's rather pointless as your hibeams are never on. And when they are they're for flashing or what not, and HID's do not work well when flashed on/off. You're best sticking with low beams and fogs. I'm in melb if u ever needed some help, altho I got lazy and havent got around to properly mounting my ballasts.. One's just cable tied,a nd ones.. Duct taped. LOL. yeh it's pretty bad. Shoudl get around to it

I take your point about the HB, but I often do the late night drive and use HB on those occasions. I very rarely flash the HB, and probably could not tell you how many years it has been since I have. So not a consideration for my style of driving.

I had the opportunity to experience the HID HB and once you go HID you never go back!

Kind Regards,

Mark.
