Why does your engine harness require replacement in-car?

If it’s an oil inundation/contamination issue via the cam sensors and AVCS solenoids, you might be better off with regular cleaning (contact cleaner) of the related harness plugs, including the main engine bay plug and ecu plugs if the oil got that far.

The cam and OCV solenoid orings and gaskets can be replaced, but the cam sensors can leak internally potentially requiring replacement sensors.

But yes one could completely replace an engine harness in situ, see the FSM pdf wiring diagrams, red link in my signature.

What year model engine is your car?
Is it hard or slow to start?
Do the dash lights flash during cranking?

So you might have more codes SSM Subaru specific stored in your ecu. They might help with your diagnostics.
See this post for reading all engine codes on your odometer: http://forum.liberty.asn.au/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=34980

From the video it sounds like you got a backfire in your intake manifold: this means you have fuel but it’s igniting in the wrong place.

Your battery is going flat so use a maintenance charger when you’re not trying to start it.
Ideally get the battery load tested by a specialist eg Battery World or diy test it and make sure it’s fully charged before attempting to start.

How dangerous is this to the engine and the car in general?.

I can’t say definitely, the video and description of the issue is unclear and lacks context.

Did you get to your DTC codes?

See the red link in my signature for a diy faq.
