Hey guys
I’ve tried searching for help with this
I’m a old fart who bought my son a 2006 liberty which has sat nav
It worked well until I changed the battery and now the map don’t come on the screen anymore
There is a disc in the disc reader in the glovebox but I believe I need a boot up disc which I don’t have .
Any help I can get will be appreciated
He can’t use his phone as he is on his p plates
I’m in western Sydney

Have a look around in the car for the original map DVD disc.
It might be called Whereis V14C1.

That’s version 14 for a C1 nav unit.

Even if an update nav disc is used, the original disc contains the base software and maps and must be loaded after a battery change or reset is performed.

Perhaps you could borrow an original and update disc from a local member, and copy them, or try the torrent ISO downloads listed on this forum, official updates are still ongoing ar least till fairly recently.

Search this forum for nav DVD info:

If you’re looking for links to torrent sites, the Kenwood C1 maps are also used in Toyota Kenwood nav units.

I gotta ask my buddy Robbo if he still has V25C1… but I rarely use the screen for nav since mines is hacked to display Btssm virtual obdii gauges.

Could Wrecking yards have the DVD's recovered from wrecked or written off vehicles?
