MY07 power window winding up too high

Postby Tresidder17 » Mon Jun 13, 2022 3:09 pm

Hey guys,

In my MY07 liberty I've noticed that the rear left window winds up too far before stopping. If I wind it up with the door closed, I guess it stops once it pushes into the door rubber which is just slightly too high and it touches the trim above the door when you open the door. When you wind the window up with the door open though, it goes another 5mm higher and the glass will completely catch on the plastic trim (instead of going under it) and you can't close the door.

I'm not sure if these windows have a mechanical stop or the max height is something that is programmed into them, does anyone have any information on the issue?

Cheers

I’d have to guess, but I’d say it’s the job of the window regulator.

That’s the assembly that the window motor actuates.

Try a self serve wreckers?
