Overheating diagnosis

Hey all, I’m new to this forum but hoping to get some advice.. my ‘06 liberty wagon blew off the bottom radiator hose while driving yesterday, I noticed it was getting hot, the gauge never got into the red, before I found a spot to pull over the engine shut down (a couple of kms). I put the hose back on, filled up the radiator, it will start but struggles a bit to get fired up (have to turn over more than usual). It sounded a little rough when I started it last time.. I’ve just left it parked as I don’t want to damage further. Any advice appreciated. Cheers

Start with a bit more info on the car: engine? how many km's?

If its running rough now then you have probably got a head gasket problem. Otherwise you need to bleed the coolant system correctly before much more.

How much oil is in it and were you loosing it beforehand?
