No. The genv seat has a different mounting base to the body, so mods between the seat and the rail would be required, regardless.
My son is a true 6’7” and has no issues fitting in. Iirc he doesn’t even put the seat all the way back on the rail.
Gearing up for NBL1 2021:
https://www.instagram.com/p/CMOYQxYAAdb ... oddjgojo9oTry extending the steering wheel, lean the seat back a little more.
I’ll ask him how he adjusts the seat after his 5’8” Mum drives the car
Its an 05 so the steering column doesn’t extend, it just has height adjust.
Another thing, it’s a manual seat. I believe these go lower than electric seats.
That one thing is going to help with what I’m guessing is a perception issue.
Compared to a GenV, the gen4 cabin does look and feel more cramped, but taller people can fit, if they think they can or need to fit.
However everyone is built differently, yours may have really long legs vs torso, and different people have varying expectations of what defines fit and comfort.
I’ll ask him to get comfy in our 07 electric seat GT and report back for a better comparison for you.
If he can’t get comfy, it’s a big clue.
