Subaru Liberty 3.0R Spec B 2007 - Power steering pump

I lifted my engine cover the other day to give the engine a clean.
I noticed a blue wire was loose behind the power steering pump.
Power steering is working fine and never noticed a difference otherwise. Don't know how long the cable has come loose.. it could be over a year. I have noticed that I have lost some power steering fluid and have been topping it up. Not sure if that is the cause.. Would like to fix it though regardless.

The question is how to do I connect the wire up again? It looks like a solder end on the end of the cable. Is it soldered deep inside the pump housing or is it on that piece sticking out at the back of the pump housing from the photo?
I want to avoid having to take the whole pump off to avoid tensioning belts... or replacing the power steering pump altogether.

We repair the broken lead wire when the PS Pump is rebuilt.
The switch is not a replacement part.
The broken wire connection is quite common.
