How to remove and swap door trim

Postby Reegan » Thu Jan 07, 2021 10:32 am

Hey,

I recently had a bit of an accident with a concrete pole which caused me to have to buy 2 new doors from a wrecker yard. I have a 2008 Liberty/Legacy 3.0r-b, with the McIntosh sound system, whilst these doors came from one of the liberties without it. Ive watched a youtube video or two which shows you how to disconnect the doors, but I was wondering if anyone had any advice or tips for doing so, and then swapping the trim with my original one with the mcintosh system.

Thanks in advance

Try the procedures in your cars FSM:

To remove the door cards, pull off the tweeter, the inner door handle outer, use a pick to pull the inside door latch inner cover, remove 3 Phillips head screws at the latch and top and bottom of the inner door handle and yank the card off from the lower edge, making sure to unplug the door lamp.
