Replacing headlight nacelles
![Post Post](./styles/prosilver/imageset/icon_post_target.gif)
I posted here about globe changing, then about the fact that, having changed a globe, the low beams were so dim that they were useless. Deciding that the symptoms were very much those of a deteriorating reflector surface I am changing the entire units. I have gone through taking off the entire front end of the car (or it felt like it). I am going to just change all the globes while I am at it!
OK. The problem is the new (chinese not Genwine) nacelle looks a bit different from the old one. I have posted photos. I need to know whether I need to move the arrowed part across to the new headlight. There is some sort of potentiometer on both the old and the new headlights: the old on the arrowed box and the new just into what I assume is the HID driver. I _think_ I will not have to, but just want to be sure.
Thanks for any help.
