Well kudos for reading the Btssm manual and getting it all setup w/o help :good:

You probably do better with a right angle USB for the phone now (jaycar maybe) and a ribbon USB for the dash install: very low profile.

Just got a right angle adapter which lets me have it plugged in nice and solid; I couldn't record a proper log before because the connection was too sketchy. (The micro USB Y cable I got won't work since it uses a different value resistor to tell the phone which charge mode it's in, still waiting for a USB C one. But in the meantime I can just use an OTG adapter.)

Got a couple of decent logs yesterday, about five minutes each... one of em says there was a knock. Haven't got around to changing any logging parameters though.

The knock warning in Btssm: it has a threshold that can be lowered (helps reduce false positives), or the feature (log on knock) can be switched off for manual logging only.

Yeah right, so I take it a certain amount of knock is unavoidable, or at least normal...?
