Need a feed from a Acc wire without cutting

Putting in an Android unit to replace the Nexus 7 setup I had. The Android unit needs a + and - supply from the battery, and an accessory supply. Any idea where I can get ( or tap into ) an acc feed without having to cut any wires? 2007 Legacy

I plug a Narva brand "add a circuit" into the interior fuse panel.

Eg bottom-right of this picture i have selected a fuse position on the accessory circuit to add power for my UHF radio.

The fuse panel lid comes with a guide:-

If you aren't sure whether a fuse position is powered for a given state of the car, you can use a multimeter or test light to see if that fuse position goes live when you switch to "accessory" (or "on" or whatever you're chasing at the time).

Wow that looks like a great solution!!! Thanks Yowie, I didn't know this Narva product existed. That'll do the job.

I'll be putting a UHF in the car soon to0, and was wondering how I'd power that, so I'll do it this way too.

Thanks heaps

So one fuse is for the original fuse that you've plugged the "add a fuse" into, and the second fuse is for the additional circuit? So in theory you could double the number of outputs on the fuse board.

Correct. The instructions are on the packet as to which circuit is the original and which is the "extra". Both of the circuits get a fuse, which is handy.

The theoretical "double the outputs on the fuse board" is limited by the space taken up by each "add a circuit" plug-in. As you can see it blocks one or two other fuses.

Also, if your wife has a labelmaker or similar I recommend labelling the "add a circuit" plug-in so you (or anyone else looking at the fuse board) knows what's going on - especially once you get around to your second "add a circuit".
