Maps upgrade

I have a 2005 (my06) 3.0r-b wagon with factory navigation
I want to update the maps but cant locate the dvd drive. Ive looked in the glove box but cant see anything. Is there anyother locations it could be?

It is behind the plastic cover that has "Macintosh" written on it. Pull it off from the sides.

Do you mean the cover behind the head unit or the amp on the floor?

Sorry was thinking your unit might have been similar to my Gen5 unit.
It appears your map DVD lives under the drivers seat, which I gather is where the amp is.
I’d be surprised if it isn’t covered in your owners manual?

The manual says it lives in the glove box but it doesn't appear so

I have a different model than you, but if this is the unit in your dash:
then you should be looking for this in your glove box - it sits in the top right hand corner:

Hi,
The screen is the same however the dvd drive isn't in tbe glovebox. There's just an empty slot
