Torque Converter Replacement

Postby Martyk » Sat Jan 04, 2020 1:45 pm

Hoping there is a previous thread on this issue.Took the E25 engine out of my 2001 Outback (auto). The torque converter dislodged. On trying to put it back in the wire clip holding the TC shaft to the oil pump shaft dislodged and bent. Am I correct in thinking I now have to remove the oil pump shaft to connect it again to the TC shaft with a new clip? If so is there a special tool or any advice on how I can get the oil pump shaft out? Thanks
