Liberty '05 2.5i 4th Gen - Exhaust Rattle?

Hey fellow liberty owners

I have noticed what sounds like 'exhaust rattle' coming from my car at normal operating temp which occurs around 1500 - 3500 rpm when going on or off throttle.

I'm aware this could be an issue with the heatshield and the problem it is a common trait with these lines of models.

Any insight into a possible fix or indepth explanation of the issue at hand?

Cheers

I had the same problem, I found that there were little rocks and bits on the inner side of the heat shield. To fix I unbolted them and tipped the bits out and hasn't been rattling for a few months now. If that doesn't fix it there might be another issue.

Mine had loose heafshields around the front cat converters. I wrapped stainless steel hose clamps around them and tightened down. 6 years later still no noise.
